Looks like you still have the 6x4.5 mask in. But it works well here.

Great tones in this image Tracey.

It's funny how the holga works ...... with mine I can get some amazingly sharp images and the next frame will be soft. I think it is the unpredictability of the Holga that makes it such a pleasure to use.

keep up the good work and experimenting. I like what you say in your bio about doing it to your own tune .... my thoughts exactly.

me too! I don't know maybe the exchange policy is weird I try to give the benefit of the doubt BUT still it shouldn't have taken almost 2 months!!! Anyway, you need to get one definatly! Yes, it's a cool peice of plastic ~my husband looked at me like I'm nuts! he wanted to know why bother with a $20. camera.... some people just don't get the madness! But I will post some more I really want to try a portrait now!!! my 1st roll I just shot landscape stuff to test it out.....

Glad you at least got it...finally! Wait for a money order to clear sounds absurd. I asked at a pro camera shop if they carried them and they never even heard of it....I thought I was clueless!
I am getting anxious to get one now, too! Hope you keep posting images with it!

or Tracey you can hand cut the 6x4,5 mask to make a 6x6 mask. makes a bit of a strange border in every foto :)

have fun!

LOL. hey why not!!! all inquiries are accepted and considered! (it maybe shorter to send you the camera to take it for me! not to mention cheaper! it cost alot of cheerios to get here in the middle of the lovely cornfield state! (2nd thought it took a month and a 1/2 to get this valued piece of plastic... the neighbors are still recovering from the shreek of joy I let out!!!

I really like the quality too it was a cheap birthday gift to me (somebody had to get me one!!!) But the guy I bought from on ebay was really slow it took over a month! I sent the money order out 2 days (Sept 14) after auction and well I just got it last week. His story he was waiting for the MO to clear (first I heard of that one, ANYWAY, i should just TRUST the system and attempt paypal again.... would it be faster UH probally not I think he forgot ME ~story of my life!!! it came from Hong Kong but it is as promised sooooo....
Sorry didn't mean to give you my jibber jabber of frustration.... I just wanted to play!!!~pout~) but the 120 n came with 2 inserts and one is suppose to be 6x6 not sure it's clearly marked must check again... I'm just naturally hallucinagenic!!!

Hmmm I did change the mask (so you don't need the mask? I was confused because it said it came with a 6x6 mask anyway~ I am however a greedy woman and went with the 16... yes wishful thinking! I'll have to look to see if the masks are marked (yes, I appear to be a idiot I should read first!!! lol.) I was looking for it to vignette (as in dark but it didn't I know it'll take that rock from space to hit me in the noggin and straighten out my logic! Right!
But thanks Dirck! I was still happy with what I got and amazed it was that clear! WAHOO!

Very nice shot, Tracey - I love the way the brightness of the corrugated metal stands out!
The Holga has a plastic insert behind the lens that is a 4.5x6 mask, but it lifts right out if you want to shoot the full-frame 6x6 (and get all the wonderful distortion and vignetting around the edges!) You'll also need to change the position of the little tab over the frame count window so that you advance the film properly for 12 6x6 shots.

I hope to get one soon, too, as I love what it produces!
Fantastic image! Love all the vignetting!

I'm not really sure, but think you can get an insert for the 6x6 ?!!? Can I ask where you found it?
