About My sister gets the credit for this one. While having lunch at a coffee shop in Seattle on Wednesday she pointed this out to me. I point out kids to her, and she points out abstracts to me!

Marvellous shot. Excellent composition. I like the contrast between the black and white and the slight tinge of color in the bulb. Good catch.

Hi Ray,
To tell you the truth, Susie and I have been the dynamic duo for quite some time :) The two of us own a business together, so we spend LOTS of time together. It has just been since some time early summer that we have shared the passion for photography. This has been the most fulfilling hobby that either one of us has had, and we are having a ball! (No small part of which is Usefilm!)
Thanks for your nice words!
Kathy

Fabulous!! I love this one Kathy! The glowing filament in the bulb is facinating all by itself but the metal tube is a very unexpected element and you have tied it in with the background here and framed it perfectly with the vertical orientation of the shot. I think the composition of this with the vertical lines to the left and the diagoinal lines in the space to the right is brilliant. A facinating macro and a great abstract. You sister may have poiinted it out, but this image is made by your composition. Great exposure too. One of my faves and on of your best, to my eye! 7/7

Wow Kathy, I'm always amazed to what you come up with! I never know what will be next! You like to keep your audiences alert! Love the composition, the diagonals in the background are perfect to add dynamism to the vertical and the circle. What a great Bulb = Idea, and well photographed - sharp and incandescent! Love the filament, it adds the bright warm color into the cool B & W composition. Well seen, and perfectly composed! 7/7 Ina
