another wonderful photo. You seem to be quite lucky being able to travel for 6 years - wow! I have a company with 15 employees and can therefore only travel for about 12 weeks every year. To your question concerning swimming in the lakes of plitvice. Unforturnately it's not allowed - the good thing is: since there is nobody in the water it stays crystal clear I have never seen such a clean freshwater lake. The whole place is one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen and I did some traveling too. (and I can tell you: it's possible to swimm if you be there very early in the morning ;-)

Amazing image. The snow and the background really make it stand out, well done. I would have gone to the bottom though, :)

Beautiful, Ann! It is giving me the feeling that it is a very far drop down just past the snow...yikes! I am so afraid of heights!! Neat image and you are so brave for capturing it! And for what it's worth, you have a bit to go before I'd classify you with the Pillsbury Doughboy!! Smurf? ... maybe, but the doughboy ... I think not!! hee hee :0)
I have to also add you to my friends list, if you don't mind. I cannot believe that I had missed so many of your images (I apologize profusely!!) I SO APPRECIATE all your comments on my stuff!!

Here's a photo of me at Sunset Point at 8,000. As you can see there was much snow and I had about 4 layers of clothes on as well as 2 hats making me look like a cross between the pillsbory doughboy and a smurf. hahaha I was having a hard time breathing let alone trying to breathe when walking. Many of the trails were closed when I was there so I was actually quite relieved that I couldn't walk down cause I don't know if I would have made it back up the hill again. I'm more of a tropical sea level water baby than a snow bunny. I did get to Rainbow Point also but didn't stay there for too long as it was even harder to breathe there. Thanks for stopping by Don. Appreciate your comments. Cheers - Ann :)

No Danny..you're not missing anything. I just haven't made the time to learn how to do borders yet. I really should because those images in Usefilm presented with borders are so nicely finished. Yes this image should have had a border. Wish I could afford to hire a border maker. :)
Oh and I wasn't about to go repelling down a snowy cliffside to get a photo of the rest of this huge rock hugging the cliff. A girl's got to draw the line somewhere. Guess I'd really have to hang out of a helicopter or some silly thing to get such an image....so this will have to suffice. :) Thanks for stopping by and for your comments on my images. Cheers - Ann :)

Thanks for stopping by Lyle. I was using a nice big zoom lens to draw me into that rock so I was quite a distance away from it but some of these rock formations were huge to be sure. Thanks for all your kind comments on all my images. Cheers - Ann :)

Me gusta mucho el contraste de colores, especialmente la pureza del blanco y los tonos de la roca. Cuando vi la imágen pequeña, me pareció que la roca era una persona parada de espaldas.... Gracias por tus comentarios, Saludos, Daniel

Very nice Ann, I looked at walking down (no snow) but then it hit me " I will have to walk back up" and did what most people do is stay on top.. When we were there, there was snow only at Rainbow point at the far end (9600ft)...great place! you did good!! Don

Nice one Ann. I think you should have shown us all of it.An improvement could possibly be made if we framed the pic with a black line orborder to stop the snow bleeding out of the picture space. But then maybe I am missing something.
