sorry i missed your post, am too late for the moon shot now but in future...erm thinking...two options, get the moon as it just comes into the view so its low to the horizon and travels through more athmosphere and so appears much bigger and you might have interesting sunset colours too at this time - something to siloutte against the moon would be very graphic and interesting. 2nd option i can think of is to go to the sea, a headland with a sea view to the east and use a longish lens to make a picture out of the relections of the moons light over the water. Boatstrand could be a good location for that shot.

Love this! Savage Beauty of the sea. You need never leave Waterford County to capture everything Nature has to offer. Theres a Moonrise tonight around 7 to the East if you know a good spot. I'm talkin' Solid Gold! Larry
