Very well composed and presented this portrait. Not a crop I would use very often but here seems to work. The lighting is very good and it probably makes this shot.
The lock of hair on the right is distracting.

A very intimate shot indeed. It's very close, much closer than the social norm, and that creates a visual tension. Very well composed. Maybe use a hair light or fill next time for the lower left of the frame.
