Great shot, Rachel. The concept is terrific and really well executed. Congratulations. Based on this and your other photos of children, I think you'd make a terrific professional photographer but, really, doing photography and either child psychology or social work aren't mutually exclusive. So, you can have your cake and eat it, too.

Thanks so much for you comment! It actually is all the same girl, with all the same clothes on. I had taken three different pictures of the same girl walking down the same path then just mooshed them together later... I guess because of the lighting in different spots she looks like she's got different color hair! Anyway, thanks again to everyone for your comments! :)

this is a really wonderful shot. she looks like shes running away from something, or someone, which makes it very interesting. the only thing i would have done differently is the border around it. but thats just my tastes.i like how all three girls are in pink. its almost like its the same girl with just different hair colors. nice shot.

'Cooling Down' is great, congrats on your awards (well deserved) but this shot really caught my eye....the fence and the pink shirts (wonderful comosition) hold it together, the building in the shadows is spooky, the look on the subjects face is awesome and your 'about' is right on the mark (sorry about the pun!).....well done Rachel. cheers, david.
