Beautiful capture, Mark! Love the pine bark color contrasting with the snow. I find this format suited to the subject, and you're right about composing for the horizontal computer screen. I don't even shoot too many vertical pictures anymore, even when the subject requires it, just because they are hard to view on the screen.

Thanks Bob. And I hear you on the height/width ratio. I think it'd probably work better as a wall poster than something to look at on a horizontally rectangular computer screen. The extreme height of the poster was intended to emphasize the tall narrow nature of the pines, but again, would probably do better on a wall poster. And thanks again, I appreciate your comments!

I like it Mark!
The snow provides excellent contrast with the dark tree bark.
I like the poster format, but I think the length to width ratio may be a little large.
