Brilliant Kevin, I was about to comment on how ye olde this shot looks until I read the description, great photo, conveys a peaceful time and the light is terrific! You live in a pretty place!

Kevin, another one of your wonderful moody images! The street is damp from dew or mist, and it feels like one needs to tred carefully, so as not to slip while walking.
I don't know for certain, but it appears you may have accentuated the lighting coming from the upper window at the end of the street. For my money, the amount of light it shines onto the street seems disproportionate for the lighting source and distance to the street. I also think if it were toned down, and the street lamp were the primary light source in the image, it would heighten the sense of a late, damp night.
Please accept my comments in the spirit they are intended, recognizing that I think the image as presented is a wonderful piece of work.
