Never tried the 85mm. I didn't want to change lenses in the heavy rain...plus everthing was wrapped tight in plastic. One of the photographers on the sidelines suffered electronic failure with her Canon...it couldn't take the rain.

Pat,

I'm pleased with how these came out considering the rain. Had to wipe the water off the lens more times than I care to remember. I am really liking my Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 lens. I had my doubts at first, but the images I got from sitting in the stands at the Aggie game with that lens ended all concerns.

Ray - Sorry I wasn't on sidelines. I didn't want to take the chance of ruining any equipment. Did you get any shots with the 85mm 1.4 (in order to get a faster shuuter speed)?
