?Gran captura, Daniel! Aunque no sé si al "individuo" le hace mucha gracia ser un personaje público...

The thumbnail does not do this one justice, though it is easier to see how these creatures can hide. That brilliant eye, and excellent sharpness make this a great photo. I don't often recognize personality in birds, but this one seems to be looking on, quietly watching.

Wonderfully sharp focus and good exposure, just too bad it's got so many shadows on it. Great bird shot.

Thanks Ina! It appears to be a Black-crowned Night-Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax).

Beautiful image Daniel and I think it's the same kind of bird as the one before. These guys are so interesting with those big red eyes and one of my favorite birds! Great capture! Darlene

Hi Daniel! Exceptional bird capture! Amazing eye and feather definition! Wow! And he's looking at you! I usually go on the USGS (US geological Survey website) - I cant't give you the precise URL here, because UF won't let me post a comment with a hyperlink. But the Bird ID center they have is the greatest. So type the usual 3w - dot - mbr-pwrc.usgs.gov/bbs/ident. Cheers, Ina
