Sakhalin, Northern part of the island, blizzard, federal road Nogliki - Okha, the houses you see at the background are not houses but some shops or whatever. This is a pretty deserted area so I wish nobody had to hitchhike there.
This is really it. When you see all the small villages located here, it looks like time has stopped here. Sometimes it is very sad... Though it is getting better a little bit as long as all these oil projects have started... Thank you !!!

Ferran Rial (Donor) (K:2,837) - Dec 1, 2005 Great shot Alexander, specially I like the mood that it has. To me, the man adds or enhances the feeling of isolation or sadness or lonelyness. I also like the movement bulr. I think it enfatizes thses feelings. However, there's something that can be inproved for me. May be, if you enhance the contrast or "touch" the curves and levels, you'll get a better result. Other than this, I think with your camera you captured soemthing that is very difficult to capture: emotions. Very well done Alexander!
