Yes, that's right Jim. You and Kevin have won an all expense paid trip to the vacation destination of a lifetime! Galesville, WI. Where you will study, dine and drink beers with the talented Ms. McCluskey!

: ) Thanks so much for the great compliment!

And the winners are...Jim and Kevin. These are, I think, Amaryllis leaves. I turned the photo on it's side and it looked completely different and when I converted to B&W it became a piece of abstract art.

Thanks everyone!

Great picture. Beautiful texture and tone. Your DOF works wonderfully here. The way the curves gradually blur the further you follow them back really gives you the sense of infinity.
Your eye just wants to keep tracking the curves all the way back.

Wonderful work.

Splendido astratto, morbido, dai bellissimi toni e luci, e dalle suadenti prospettive curve.
Congrats!!

Having done some shooting and driving myself, I know what you went through while trying to get this shot.
This is a good shot, I like the perspective. Looks like you had the Sigma zoomed all the way to avoid getting the hood of your car.
I also like the fact that it is not perfectly sharp, adds more to the feel of being in the car while moving.
The colors here a excellent too. Looks as though it might have been at dusk, either just before, or just after a storm, by the looks of those clouds.
All in all, you have a great shot here.

Thanks everyone! Yes, this is indeed a real cloud. I can't figure out how it happened. I thought it was perhaps the trail from an aircraft that somehow was scewed by the wind but it is so vertical. It just looks too dense to be from a plane though.
