thanks so much for stopping by Wolf. I deliberately wanted the paisley background for her, I have a ton of plain paper backdrops which bore me ;-) so I wanted something with a bit of detail. I thought it complemented her oriental appearance...perhaps not though lol!

this is a lovely portrait, beautifully lit and yes she shows it off well hehe.
Nice pose, lovely expression, sharp, great skin tones, lovely catchlights....beautiful photo - well done.
2 little things - firstly i'd crop a little higher - you've cropped at the knee (always avoid cropping at joints whereever possible) and I'd burn in the light area at the top right of frame. I find the brightness is drawing my eye away from your lovely model.:)

"For me the best points of this shot are this unusual (not perfect, but very nice) hue of green and soft gentle picture"

I have to agree it is very pretty hue :-)

Deb I truly love this. Great use of your wideangle here, brilliant perspective.
The only thing this needs is a little burning in of the center girls face, its just a teeny tad too bright, especially in her mouth area as the teeth are hard to distinguish. In print it'd probably come up fab like this but for web its a teeny bit bright there.

But kudos for a fantastic moment and really creatively executed.

hehe, thanks Julie :-) It's scary how time flies isn't it.
I think I need to recreate this photo with them now that they are bigger.
It really is emotional looking at my babies and remembering....that 3 years again and my 8yo will be on the edge of becoming a young lady.

simple yet effective...like this alot. Love the dof and the splashes of colour.
CC - this is really picky ok ;)
1. looks a little blue to me, I'm not familiar with this type flower but it looks like you need to add some yellow. So if you have Photoshop ctrl m for curves adjustment, then where it says RGB channel click the arrow and select the blue channel. Drag the centre of the line ever so slightly down and you'll balance the yellow in the image.
2. the deadish/unopeened looking flower in the bottom left of the image, I would have picked it so it wasn't in frame.
3. I'd give it a teeny bit more contrast and a bit more sharpening but don't over do it.

oh my - how sweet it is to come back through my old gallery and find this. I need to get that file and print it! My little bloke is now at school and my daughter is a big grown up 8yo! Gosh, it's making me all sentimental and teary!
