Great pic Chris! There is a sense of a sunny day but the waters are mysterious, brooding almost. Good emotional contrast and tension.

Chris, I like the way you have cropped this image as it would have been easy to have cropped out the black. The black adds great contrast to the orange and a feeling of balance, of otherness.

Thanks Dave. They say one should take photos of what you know - as a musician a have sat in orchestras for years looking at all the instruments around me. I think it paid off with this photo. Thanks for your comment and congrats as featured donor

Yes it was taken outside. I took a whole series at a concert of close ups looking at the detail of the instruments. This is the best by far. It is good to talk to you cheers

Hi Heba, love the contours and the shadow and the way you have framed the shot. Dreams are sometimes just out of reach like the rest of the photo. Imagination comes into play very quickly.
