hi gertrud,
i like the pose and the composition a lot: like the way the head of the bed seems to continue trought her dress and hair; and the way the bed covers resemble her skin in tone and texture.
i especially like the model's expression and look.
but i've got a couple of nitpicks:
one is that her eyes are trying to say more than lazy afternoon so imo they miss something, some sparkle, more light or some reflection from the window.
second is that altought it is quite cool the way you worked the tones, the fact that you cropped a bit of her left arm makes it fade away too much. i know the point is to concentrate on the expression but still...

Impressionante a relação que existe entre o desenho e o artista. Tanto ao nível da cor e do traço como na expressão do pato. Parece mesmo comprometido ao ter sido apanhado pelo fotógrafo num momento tão íntimo.

i do climb... ocasionally.
but the photo was easy to shoot, i was on the ground and had a 70-300mm with me. only thing on my mind was the rock, the climber and the sky.

olá!
gosto muito da linha curva que a mesa faz e como divide os planos da fotografia. ainda cria mais interesse a maneira como o corpo dela se adapta a essa linha.
ao príncipio fez-me impressão a louça e os individuais em cima da mesa mas vendo bem a textura que formam quase faz com que a mesa seja uma continuação do vestido.
gosto também muito da maneira como ela olha para o vazio e daqueles brilhos do sol nas plantas.
acho que ficaria também muito bem em preto e branco, só pela composição e pelos brilhos.

hi david,
it took me a while to get what i didn't like in here.
a lot is just beautifull like your other work. the expression and mood, the colours and tones, the fuzzy effect from the tall grass that suits her dreamy look.
but there was something bothering me and i guess it is the horizontal frame that makes us concentrate in the surroundings rather than on her.
i tried this vertical frame to see if i was right. what do you think?

Hi Hugo,
nice to ear from you. been a while but i've been terribly busy.
this place is in Sintra, a mountain that goes all the way to the western-most point in continental Europe. The fact that it's almost on the sea, perpendicular to the N dominant winds full of moiture from the sea creates this particular Foen-like effect.
If you ever stop by I will gladly show you around. Promisse you will take better shots than this!

great tension here!
it's impressive how his arm stands out of the background showing his determination.
it's very interesting to compare his expressions against the smiles on the girl's faces.
the composition is excellent with those well drawn diagonal lines and triangles. that was what draw me to it in the first place.
the perspective adds a lot to the tension, and allows us to see both their rich expressions up close as well as a glimpse of where they live making an excellent journalism photo.
just can't figure out the reason for this to be the first comment, even being weekend and all. stefan, please keep shooting like this!
