Thank you for the comment. My work is certainly more commercial than yours (got to pay the bills!) but I respect the fine arts genre very much. When time permits I will peruse your portfolio.

Paul, thanks for the comment! I think it is important for photographers to have visual and verbal dialogue with one another. When time permits I will review your portfolio.

Thanks for the kind words. One of my favorite subjects as well. I think some people consider them to be too common to be interesting subjects but you and I know better!

Very nice portrait Aaron! The lighting is complimentary to your subject but not obtrusive.

Many thanks Paul. This technique is the opposite of panning! I want to commend you for being such an active and supportive member of this site. I recently attempted to view your portfolio and I found nothing. Are there technical problems?

Naomi, You are doing some interesting work. Don't worry about being "technically correct" at all times. You have a strong sense of composition and you have the courage to play with your self image. You never see male photographers that brave! Michael

Gary, thanks for the comment! The elevation of the lake is 6,379' andi it is in a dry sagebrush desert near the base of the Eastern Sierras, which have perrenial snowfields and glaciers at 13,000'. So yes, it is a land of contrasts!
