Hi Jan,
thank you for your comment. i just wanted to add when shooting pic of my black cat(arap) or Jesta (my brothers cat), i use fill in flash but not the pop up flash on the camera. i have the same digital slr so i know what results the pop up flash can achieve, so instead i use the canon speedlight and i bounce the flash light from the ceiling which usually gives great natural looking exposures when black cats are concerned. check out my cat portfolio to see more of my black cats...

Jesta is most beautiful (and hard to photograph) and you have handled the color and exposure perfectly. I have posted several of my black cat (Roland) and have often struggled to get the lighting to my satisfaction. A beautiful portrait of exceptional quality.

It's too bad the background is so cluttered, because this is a great catch of the moment. Love that expression. What did you do, hold out on the catnip?

He is so cute! But honestly great portrait and wonderful detail. I would have liked to see the dark area on the right cropped, or even a FF of just the cute little face. MdW

Excellent portrait of the handsome Boris. I would have preferred the right portion of the photo be cropped out to put more attention on Boris but otherwise a fine photo.

He wasn't staring for long,if i remember correctly, he got on the bus just as the doors were closing and so I couldn't get on, so in return I pointed the camera and 'shot' him instead!! I didn't realise I had the pic and that it was that strong until i veiwed them all at the end of my trip. This one image summed up budapest for me, so much so that i made it the front cover of a book I created called BUDAPEST.

Hi Özlem,
dramatic portrait indeed. Didn't you feel uncomfortable when that man stared at you in that way? it's rather creepy and that's why I like it...really up close to your subject.
Well done my friend,

Alain
