Kind of 'film-like' and has a feel that something bad is going to happen. Nice eerie image, Kevin, well exposed

I agree you have a fine photograph. The fog and colour are great. The highlight on the rail is a nice touch along with the approaching headlights.

Sorry, Kevin.
I did want to see your movie, so that you were an award winner, but the movie would not run.

That's a very interesting series you've posted recently, Kevin & while I'm downlaoding Itunes & quick time I'd like to tell you that once I knew the feeling of flying, having been the MO (medical officer) of sa parachute unite & there's really no feeling I know that can quite compare to it, once your canopy has opened. I liked you atoportrait & look forward to seeing your movie. I didn't respond to your very kind comment on my P.S. work on "Windpw cleaning" sooner because I was away at an enlarged family meeting in Uruguay.
Best regards,
Rafi

I like this...has an artistic flair about it. Love when people aren't afraid to use available light! Gives a whole different (& MUCH better) mood than flash. Wonderful image, Kevin!

No, I can't paint for beans. I do love many forms of art, though, such as drawing and film, And sometimes the two meet, such as in my animations. http://film.sikoramedia.com/plummet/index.html

I think I just have what many people call a "wild imagination" and I love drawing fantastical creatures and whatever pops into my brain...

Hi Kevin, you wrote me “I was just having this conversation about one of my images with another UF user…”. I see what you mean. Usually the eye contact is one of the more important point of portraits, but I think it’s not an absolute rule, sometimes the best thing is… break the rules!!! The invisible eyes give me a sense of mystery, the darkness and the blur increase this sense in my opinion, the only thing I don’t like too much is the digital noise. Anyway you have a good photographic eye and I liked a lot of the images of your portfolio. Keep up the good work! Bye, Max

You actually made yourself look like a painting in tweaking your autoportrait in P.S. Looks like a 70s movie portrait. Quite an interesting reply you wrote to Squirl & I agreed with every word in it.
Thank you for your kind comment on my "Friendly cardgame."
Best regards,

Absolutely. And you're right, I don't approach all my photography in a minimal way, I think there are many things that inspire me to take a photo of something, and it is always interesting to see what approach to take toward making an image look good.

wow that was a run-on sentence.

I see what you mean! I wrote this at wrong image, look instead in that one where it´s two triangles in each other but in different directions, another where you hold a mirror and the subject repeats .... Not saying it´s not minimalistic but ALSO there´s a complex alternative way of seeing and adding an extre "dimension" in your perception - do you see now what i mean?

Hmmm... it's true. I guess I just love to find something that really looks good, or expresses something I feel.

But actually, I did aply my minimalistic tendencies to this image. This was taken in a parking Garage, and I exposed it so to completely lose the background, where it is black in the image. Sure there is a lot in the shot, but at least it isn't 'busy'.
