no more light needed. the portrait is a masterpiece! i agree with John. it doesnt push me to the 40's but much earlier to the period of classic art or at least neoclassicism. here i can see the position of a classical beauty (the hairdo too), games of light and shadow of some Ingres (white skin), Delacroix (or even earlier Velazquez or Guercino). What about Cecil Beaton? congrats and thanx so much 4 sharing, Agnieszka. i'd love to see more like this...

Agnieszka Like the rest of your portfolio, the quality of your work is exceptional. But this portrait (for me) is a masterful pice of work - for instance, your control of the lighting, deft use of tone, impeccable application of negative and positive space; but above all, its simplicity, grace and style. For awehile I thought this sort of work was passe', but you have proved them wrong. Bravo.

Nice portrait. I specially like the angle of the head in relation with the torso. The image treatment is very, very, good ( although perhaps a bit more brightness, but then again is my personal taste). Nice work.
