Hi again, Mirek -
You're way better qualified than I am to comment on the war. I take your point about the 'junior staff' having been turned into scapegoats for events often largely beyond their control. As I said, though, there are a lot of armchair critics who suffer from short-term memory - and an unfinished war brings with it as many problems as it solves. Enough said by me on this: your photograph was impressive!

A decision to go to war is never an easy one. Nobody knows the future consequences and outcome. I participated in the first war as a U.S. Marine and as far as the current conflict in Iraq I have many doubts about our government real motivation. To say it straight I strongly oppose this war. However I am aganst dropping the responsibilities for the attrocieties on the shoulders of young privates, sergeants, lieutenants or capitans. They deserve recognition for their sacrifices. LEST WE FORGET
There's so much anti-war sentiment in Britain these days, it seems there's been a communal loss of memory over what happened to Kuwait in the early nineties.
Good photograph, which carries a symbolic air with it.
