you are wellcome!... I ?m plenty of images from these region... however I buy a bloody HP scanjet 3670 that don?t work properly - for 4 months I?m trying to - and so, I couldn?t show you all of then for now...

Thanks for the links. The old photographs are very interesting, and I've also found a map there so now I have a better idea of the locations. I don't read Spanish, but fortunately many Slovak, Czech or English translations of South American authors are available here.

these children are quite especial... when I took my camera they imediatelly sat down to being fotographed... i like the little blond one, in the middle, with her worried face (just a 4 old girl, but with a old woman eyes) ... thank for comment the book you are reading by the way! Canudos is one the most tragics passages from our history. There is one great book "Sertões" (I don?t know if you can find a good english version) by Euclides da Cunha - who was a eye-witness of this war in 1897 - or a book that i don?t read yet by a hungarian write, Sandor Marai, that also tells something about that war.

A village near Canudos in Bahia? What a coincidence. I am just reading a book about that place - 'La guerra del fin del mundo' by Mario Vargas Llosa.
How did the children like being photographed? It seems that some of them are enjoying being in the picture, while some have a slightly suspicious expression.
