Hoi Paul,
You're right about the tension in her neck which I didn't notice. As said above, we rushed this shot too much. I asked her to choose a pose which felt right for her. We'll better give it another try :).
Thank you for your comment!
Groeten, Pim

Hi Philip,
Thank you for your comment. I think you're right, I didn't take enough time to let her choose a good pose. We both didn't have much experience with portrait and model photography, as it was our first shoot. I will ask her if we can do another series with more attention to the pose.
Regards, Pim

Imageopolis Featured Photo Critique Hi Pim,
I agree with Phillip about the pose of Janneke's leg. The previous B&W portrait was such natural and so excellent, but here I notice immediately what Phillip already clearly described.
Another thing I notice is, however I can't read her thoughts, she was willing to pose but also she seems to be maybe bored and somewhat impatient. It is clearly visible from the tension seen around mouth and neck.

Lighting however is really perfect,
vriendelijke groet,
Paul

A nice portrait image, Pim. I'm not 100% sure about the pose. To me, the position of the foot against the tree is a little 'unnatural' or 'forced' looking....particularly for a model wearing a dress. Perhaps this pose would be better suited to a model wearing a pair of jeans. This is just my opinion....others may disagree.

In saying that, it's still a classy image, with a lovely setting, good lighting, and nice tones.

Cheers

Phil
