About A pair of hiking boots slung on a wire, hanging about 5-6 meters over a busy street.... now sometimes you come across something and you either think: how did they do that or why did they do that... In this instance its a bit of both... ;-D!!! BTW the squarish box on the left is a street light, hung that high so busses can pass without knocking it down....

Petal what an excellent shot, the sky is wonderful too as well as the silhouettes. I know what you mean - I seem to regularly see shoes in the middle of the road, - and I think - how/why/whatfor/ -....strange.

Petal this is cute. You always wonder why they do t his rather than just throw them away. I thought when I saw this that maybe the box was his suitcase.. Good one. Don.

Haha, nice capture Petal. I see a lot of shoes hanging on power lines over here in the States. I've only heard of one weird explanation for it which is that it means there are drugs dealers in that area. I have no idea though LOL.

Interesting shapes silhouetted against the sky, Petal. However, that cloud and the light shafts are real scene-stealers!

Nice work, Petal.

Hmmm..... interesting and something of a puzzle indeed!!! Well spotted Petal. Love the compositon - it would have been easy to shoot this with the boots centred and that would have made the shot far less effective.

Hi Petal, This is an awesome shot. Not only is the use of silhouettes very powerful (and intriguing, as you won't find this too often), but the cloudscape in the background with the rays of light coming from behind is sensational. Very well balanced composition, and a very appealing capture!

Cheers,

Hugo
