  Q. Where to buy filters online?

Asked by Armen Jamkotchian    (K=5879) on 6/20/2003
The http://www.cameragear.com (CameraGear.com) and http://www.cameragear.com/cf.asp (CameraFilters.com) have pretty low prices on filters. Does anyone have experience shopping with them?
What reliable online sites will you recommend?

I get most of my filters from B&H photo. Their prices are good and they carry nearly every filter there is. And also their service is far better than most places I've ordered from.

I agree-B&H photo is the the excellent. So is an outfit called Adorma. Both located in NYC.

You might try www.bugeyedigital.com. I have found that they cover a wider range of filter manufacturers. While cameragear is okay on prices, especially for rings, adapters and the like, they are woefully short on variety of filters/manufacturers.

You will want to compare tiffen, crystal optics, kenko, raynox, pyramid and not just be limited to one brand.

B&H, watch out for their shipping policies/prices.
