UPDATE-CORRECTION...
Well at the time I posted this there was a "review" posted at Imaging Resource. I have come to find out that review has been pulled. Apparently it was not supposed to have been available YET.
DpReview will be posting their review of the 300D hopefully by 6pm EST today....
that is all.....

Well, it can't be a review of course since the thing isn't on the market yet :)
The editors of those sites probably got hold of a prototype to try out or were given some money and a pressrelease disguised as a review to post as their own.

Well, personally I accept them as 'reviews' and I beg to differ on the money exchange aspect of your comment. I find the assertion that these are "packaged" reviews ridiculous to say the least. How would Canon have access to photos of the respective reviewers wives and personal homes that are used in the test images? Or do you think these were produced with some other camera? These are highly reputable sites and anyone who has researched digicams in the past several years will be abel to attest to that.
Both authors do admit to the units tested as being "pre-production units" and clearly state changes may be made to the models before full release.
Also of note regarding such pre-production units is the fact that this camera is slated to be available for retail by mid-September at the latest. I doubt there will be very much different between the units reviewed and those available to the public in two weeks.
Of course firmware updates are issued quite regularly for digicams so we may see a firmware update sometime after the units are released.

It seems to be available in Asia. I've seen reviews from the Phillipines and Japan. Go to photo.net and look in the new "Photo News" forum for the thread with links.

Beta test models of this camera have been tested for a while now and I have seen one on two occasions in the hands of a tester for canon . It will be a good entry camera but I would not consider it for pro applications . Image quality is quite nice but this is not the same as a 10d . Many of the features are there but there are many that are not . It should convert some of the Nikon coolpix buyers to Canon because of it being a 6mp camera .
