This is one of the best uses of a really wide-angle lens that I've ever seen. The exaggerated sense of perspective, the slight haze (or is it spume?) that puts the castle into the more remote distance, and the ultimate backdrop of that great, towering sky with its wraith-like clouds... Hey, I don't care if it WAS created by pulling together two or three different shots and some intensive PhotoShop work. It's a masterpiece! Lovely deep blacks and a beautiful long range of intermediate tones, glistening moisture... Beautiful!

I've seen plenty of images of this place taken from this place, but never one so low down. It's a great effect and the sky reminds me of a mono Van Gogh. Award worthy methinks.
