Here the depth of field was important too.the bare tree was a lost one amongst the greeny landscape.so cudn't fade the background. i appreciate ur suggestion & comments AVI, Regs, Jen

Jen, I am going to give you a completely different perspective. You wanted to show the bare tree in front with all the green foliage at the back - right ?? So, all you needed was a sense of green in the background. Maybe u cud have used a much higher aperture (smaller aperture value) - so as to fade out the background - thus retaining the green - and bring out the bare tree in the foreground much more distinctly !!!
Your thoughts.
