James, this house is part of a whole mining town - in the Namib desert - which has been uninhabited for decades. Alluvial diamonds, millions of carats of, where picked up there in the early 1900's. Will be posting more photos of this place. It's called Kolmanskop and is near Luderitz in Namibia. Regards Shirley

I really have to wonder what a house like that is doing out in the middle of all that sand. It reminds me a bit of a Tom Waits song "The House Where Nobody Lives".
