Thanks Doyle, I think what is happening is that where the light is falling (I under exposed) is where the movement is (ocean, shoreline and clouds), normally I would get more light on the hard objects which would sharpen the whole image, this is nearly a negative image of what I usually do and has given this different result.

Great set-up and colors Peter . . . but the clarity (for me) kind of hurts it. I see the 15 sec. shutter speed and assume a tripod was used (right?) -- but the focal clarity here needs some work (IMO). It certainly would have been great otherwise, I think.
