About I cropped this image that I took this afternoon which I now realise has emphasised the odd tilt again. I think I should fess up that I have a peg leg...is there a trick to keeping the horizon level? Common sense maybe!

Ciao Sandra, bellissimo tramonto al porto! Mi piace un sacco la luce dorata e le silhouette delle barche sono bellissime!
Complimenti!
Ciao, Ale

Thankyou..have been looking on the web for some downloadable software and so far have only found the "airbrushable" portrait package...should help smudge the peg leg away. My camera is quite basic but when looking to upgrade I think that grid may be on the "needs" list. Thanks for looking at my photos!

Great image Sandra, I really like the gold tint through it....peg leg...lol...some cameras have a feature which places a grid on the image when looking through the viewfinder..which helps..or most adjust in PS.

Peter :)

For some reason I couldnt get back on website again last nite - thanks for your feedback...agree, will have to upgrade my software as have a very very basic package...with this one, was on the ground amongst the weeds trying to hurry up while a gang of boys on bikes wondered what the hell I was doing - but think will take time out to make sure I'm level!! Thanks again!

Thankyou Megan - my software is quite basic...only allows crop or red eye reduction - think I will invest in something better! Btw, what is IMO? Appreciate the tips, thankyou!!

Sandra, another beautifully presented tilted image..lol. But seriously, this is so lovely, the colours and boat sillhouettes, along with the water weeds in the foreground are fantastic. As Megan suggested, you can correct the tilt that way or also in the 'transform>skew' section of Photoshop if you have this software. If you have a different software there will be a function somewhere for you to do same, you could post the software you have on here and someone will tell you what and where if you can't find what you need. Also, if you have no software, the best thing to do is to try to remain aware when you take your shots, that your water levels 'look' as straight as they can.
A beautiful image nonetheless, great work.
cheers, Bek:)

Hi Sandra

You can correct the tilt in ps with an arbitrary rotation when you crop the pic, which you will find in the image dropdown menu. I think the colours of the sunset are beautiful, but IMO the sun should be slightly ofset from the centre of the photo. Hope this helps.

Megan.
