Hi Michele and thanks for the nice detailed comment. Indeed, I didn't get it all in focus and that's not very good. At that time I still didn't have much knowledge about how to actively influence the DoF, and so some parts of such photos were out of focus.

As about times of the year, well, from the photographic point of view they are all good, as they can give us much "homework" to do for improving skills and getting better. From my own personal point of view... we didn't have any winter this year (and this in Switzerland!), and so my alarm sirens about climate warming are already singing. Summer is good and nice but without the winter and the water that it brings and summer would look just bone dry and dusty. Let's hope that humanity will manage to get out of this scenario.

Best wishes - and have a nice summer soon!

Nick

Hi Nick,

As far as I can tell.. it looks like your focus is in the back , or on the left- <>well... maybe it's not the back , but definitely the focus is on the left--
It is illuminated--and pleasant to view with brilliant warm colors contrasting with spec's of blue sky ...
It is a lovely FALL scene with a nice crop, and frame .. I like it just fine but I would LOVE it in the fall-- It's hard to appreciate the fall at the end of winter-- I am sooooo excited about Spring !!!
I am a TOTAL SUMMER person so please take this into consideration ....

All the Best-
Michele~
