About And when, the darkness seems so strong
And you just can't go on
Pray for your helping hand
You'll see the sun will rise again
You'll find the strength to carry on

What a great photo Mohamed. The lighting is excellent. The contrast, the texture and the composition is superb. I am glad I got to see some of your work. Bruce

ingi, gazakum allah khayran (thank you) , i was very overwhelmed with your generous criticism,..and i think that i may not deserve such quote for creativity , i believe that some shots of mine may touch innovation level ,.. but anyway thanks for the compliment , and wish me luck , cuz i am thinking of a new photography exhibition for my recent works ,..

I don't know why did this shot remind me, at first sight, of Shady Abdel Salam's film "the Mummy" ...
... kind of mysterious mood ...
and may be (and this is my humble point of view) i disagree with the opinion suggesting a figure into the composition ... i can see its beauty or CREATIVITY in that it can provide the viewer's imagination with something new each time it's experienced ...

"They have about them an intensity and
concentration of meaning requiring continuing contemplation." (Gero & Maher, 1993) ;)

GOOD LUCK Doctor

What a pity that the thumb of this one tells so little about the image, Mohamed! I was so surprised when I opened the full scale image! The way you got the fine details at the right is in a very powerful contrast to the stripe of darkness at the left. The light gets stronger by direct comparison to the darkness!

The very left edge could be in docus too for a more tangible look and feel, which makes me think of using hyperfocus here. But still the highlighted window and even more the way that seems to continue to the left at the bottom make the image strong enough for just sitting and looking!

Cheers!

Nick

Great exposure Mohamed, although maybe a figure emerging from the doorway or walking down the alley, would have given a bit of interest of frame. Still nice job and interesting camera to use.

Regards,

Robert.
