Dank je voor je info, zeer bruikbaar Paul, want ik had ook al een oogje op de D700.......
De 18-200 Sigma lens en de D50 body zijn al afgeschreven. De Nikkor 105 vr 2.8 macro is zgan maar is een DX frame lens :( Dat zou idd een oranjebittere nasmaak kunnen geven bij een D700 ;)
Zou ik kunnen verkopen, is in perfecte staat.
Een goed moment om alle opties eens open te gooien, dank voor je helder visie. ( komt zeker door je D90 hahahaha )

Hallo Harry, wat betreft jouw vraag. Inderdaad Canon gaat de laatste jaren verder in de "Megapixel race" voor DSLR cameras terwijl Nikon met andere kwaliteiten met name de full frame sensor (van de D700) hoge ogen gooit. De sensor van de D700 doet niet onder voor de D300 zelfs de zeer kostbare D3 in low light en scherpte voor een aanvaardbare prijs.
De 7D fullframe van Canon een nieuwere versie van de zeer goede 5D (1D is uiteraard een topcamera maar ook heel duur, uitstekend voor professionals) heeft meer (18M)pixels, filmfunctie en 8fps, maar is minder goed in snelle scherpstelling en schijnt meer ruis te vertonen bij 3200 of 6400 ASA dan de Nikon D700.
Lees de testen en vergelijkingen op internet. Let ook op dat je je DX Nikon lenzen van je D50 wel kunt gebruiken voor een D700, maar dan helaas niet de full frame benut. Je moet opnieuw investeren in FX objectieven. En voor professionele optiek zweren de meeste professionals bij Canon, mischien ook reden dat je ook nu nog makkelijk van Nikon naar Canon kunt switchen en andersom. vriendelijke groet, Paul

Question: I am considering to buy a new body, I have the D50 from 2006 and it is 6 Megapixels. Now the D300 and D700 from nikon would be fine but I see they use only (??) 12 megapixels ( only important for prints and zooming in ) . Canon does have models going up to ~18 Megapixels. So why is that ?
Nikon aint stupid either, so what should i consider ?
I also asked Vehbi and Stan, curious what you advice is;)
