You're so right; a familiar image is so much harder to capture properly...but here, you have done what I tried and couldn't accomplish: You indeed did succeed in doing something different with quite an old and oft-photographed subject...thanks! Darren :)

Wow what an eyeful, ok so I'm sad but at least I'm good at it. A most unique perspective, I'm surprised there weren't more tourists in the shot though. I love the contrast it really gives it that gritty urban look.

Patricia,
This must be one of the most unusual angles of the tower that I have ever seen. Very creative. The tones are also of good range, clear and shrp. Well done indeed.
I was recently there too, tried for endless shots that pretty much all went south!
PS- did you read that the tip of the tower was on fire this week? Audrey

.....or "Eifel on Eiffel". Great eye and photo Patricia. What I really find amazing is that in the "real" part of the tower, the top is missing, but you found it reflected in the water. Fascinating-- and nicely done photo. Cheers. Craig

I love your eye for composition Patricia, this is a very cool view of the tower. Having the top in water is apropos after yesterday's little incident!

Very clever composition - the top of the tower is cut off, but we still get to see it!! V. nice!

Was it raining in Paris....? You were lucky because you could have taken a very original point of view from Palais de Chaillot...without the tourists who crowd usually here...:-)

Well i think that, even this is one of the most shot subject in the world, you've found an "assez original" point of view to present it, with the truncated tower, almost half and half. I really like the interesting sky, but i find that the person on the left descending the stairs is a bit distracting and could be removed... Maybe it's even a bit tilted to left... Regards, Lorenzo
