Thx Jill...It`s not the lens that you need but a Infrared filter.It`s more demanding than that but if you want to shoot Ir[infrared]you will be better off getting a converted Ir camera.There are lots of cheap used cameras you can buy for conversion but Nikons are legendary for Ir.BW processing isn`t too difficult but color is a challenge.Check out the link for a more detail view on Ir.... http://infrared-photography.freeforums.net/

Thx Radovan for the input,no problem.It doesn`t work because the vegetation is too dark,for Infrared need more slivery tones.The vegetation and the water provided the contrast at the bottom and the clouds and black sky at the top.It would be ok for 'visible light' BW though.I don`t mind anyone giving their opinion,in fact I appreciates it as it makes my sees another intrepretation.Thanks again.
