its a nice picture, it would make an excellent background for a portrait.

who was she going to call...?

i think she just had a few too many and was going to be doing a bit of 'drunk dialing'

umm...maybe i was lucky. I was on the obervation deck of the Mori Tower in Tokyo. costs about 15$ to go to the top and you then get a 360degree view... actually, I think it has more to do with the crop and sharpening that luck...just my opinion.

I like the shot, but am also commenting on the d200. I would just like to add my 2yen worth...i think part of the problem with the noise in this image might be the 18-70 lens...Ive had the same problems with it, but when I put on my 50mm 1.8 i can use ISO 800 relativley noise free.
I really enjoyed looking through your portfolio.

great shot, i think it might help the composition to straighten the horizon and crop out the rocks at the bottom. really nice colors, your lucky to have been there!

interesting shot! I lived in Page for a summer while in college a few years ago. unfortunatley I wasn't interested in photography at the time. As many shots as Ive seen of Antelope Canyon I cant remeber any that had blue hues in them. Is it natural? its a nice effect either way and I hope you enjoyed your visit!

Steve, I looked at your portfolio, your shots from this location (and everywhere else too) are amazing! Monkey's must be one of the hardest animals to get a good shot of because their faces show such emotions.

Id like to come back when its colder so that the ice forms on their fur... i think i might need to get a more appropriate lens as well...
thanks for the tips!

Thanks for the comment Steve. I agree, for being 'wild' uncaged macaques they are very approachable. I just visited there early today and took around a hundred shots. They're all in RAW format so its a little tedious going through them. I think I have some better angles and closeups that I havent got to yet.
all the best,
dave

lovley shot! how do you feel about the cars in the shot?
I might have left them out, however the road would still be visible...
its a tough call from that vantage point.
really nice colors, sharpness, and clarity.
