Hi, you have a good eye for composition in this and other works in your portfolio. The background sea & sky colours against the strong bike wheels here is wonderful.
Somehow, a little sharpness is lost here from the original slide? I wonder if its your scanner or maybe some kind of upload problem?

Well seen and composed 'street' shot Max. The rich tones and the shading add to the interest of the shot. Looking long, the viewer can knit up all kinds of stories but all with a sorry tint.

A ver..y low angry sky.
The filtered light shows off (and up) the rain storm in the far distance.
Quick man, pedal, pedal fast...the rain is coming. And please tell that crazy photographer to run before he gets soaked

Hi Robert,
In photoshop, people correct perspectives in many different ways. I find the easiest way that works for me is : surround the picture with the 'crop' tool. Take the mouse/cursor to either/any of the 4 corners of the picture. You'll notice a small double-ended arrow appear. Drag the arrow up or down (a little at a time). Let go when you are happy with the new
perspective, click 'crop'......you'll then need to perform a general crop to clear away the unwanted edges. Hope that helps
PS-hard to explain well, but really not difficult to master after a few tries.

Nice glimpse of Tokyo's 'off the beaten track'.
Rice paddy fields(plot, in this case) with their reflections and fresh new greens are always photogenic, aren't they? Looking at this image, I had wondered (& indeed tried) if it might be stronger in B&W....but you are right to keep it in colour However, I'm reasonably convinced that a small crop of the sky would help focus the eye more on the pretty reflections - personal preference ofcourse.

I understand you had a small quake followed by a tyhoon...already. So early into the season!

Thank you Mark for your visit and nice comment. You'll be happy to know I've since been promised that 'the new members' idea will be applied

I have quickly visited your portfolio but will return with comment when time allows soonest.

Wish I do live in Paris, but homebase is London. However I do spend time in Paris/France as much as able.
Marilia Ferraz is another person who spends time there often - do go see her work.

Roby, they are both beautiful. The name you give this image fits well too. The soft tones shine through especially well on the dog. Just a small nit pick would be the lady's hand is slightly 'hot' but I still like this composition very much

Roger, this shot brought a smile
I was in Tokyo recently and saw many of the same girls, especially on Sundays.
Looking at this image, I wonder how different this might be if converted to B&W? But a tour round your portfolio I see you prefer colour?
PS - thank you for your kind words on my post. I will post more soon when time allows.

Roger, this image brought a smile - I was in Tokyo rcently and saw many same (look alike girls). Cute shot.
I note in your portfolio you much prefer colour. I wonder how different if different, if this were to be converted into B&W?
Your cherry blossom shots are lovely too.
PS - thank you very much for your kind words on my post. I will find time to post more

Thank you Max, Rui, Christian and everyone above for your kind words.
Max, this fishing village is acturally not as poor as the sepia tones made it appear. The people are quite content, truely they are
Rui, I know because of Macau, this touches your soul
Christian - I thank you.

Hi there, has anyone told you that you have a kind soul? The micro details on the peals are perfect, the bright burning colours bothers a bit, but that's just boring me, take no notice.....'cold abstraction 1' is a gem Christian.
