Lovely pastels & misty atmosphere and good composition make a great image. Well done.

I like the strong foreground elements and the passing boats but find the large sky and cloud fraction to be a bit too distracting. Also the horizon line is a bit tilted. Let me know what you think of my version of your image. Horizon straightened and cropped.

A great capture. The reflection really contributes to the success of this image. I must have a couple of shots from the same spot but no reflection. You nailed it!

A photograph that tells a story. High contrast light sets the mood. Great image.

John:
Almost as nice as the sunrises in RI :)! This image is my favorite of the 2. Other has a bit too much forground for my tatse. All is well with me but my wife is recovering from a heart attack. Hopefully she'll be home for Thanksgiving. Best to you.

Red sand, how unusual. Do you know its orign? Nice detail which could have been more interesting with low angle sun light to give the ripples more detail.

This one is great. Love the water lead into the background and the fluidity of the colors. They look like the were poured on.

Normally I don't like subjects dead center but this one really works. I think the differet tree lines on either side of the central tree are what make the image dynamic. Nice job.

A great image. I love the composition and color, especially the red earth and blue sky and the single cloud.

This is a beautiful image, nice textures and complementary colors. However, I think the composition could be strengthened by removing some of the top and the flower on the right. They tend to pull the eye from the flower mass on the left. See my version as an example,

Basically a very nice image. I have a suggestion: How about a crop to remove the sky in the background. It competes too strongly with the boat, dock and nice cloud reflection. I am sending my version as an example. I also increased the contrast with curves (down middle, up highlight, down shadows). Hope you like it. Best

Michael: This is a pleasing image. might I suggest a different crop (emphasis on butterfly and less on background) and some adjustment of the mid tones to bring out the lovely yellow on the wings. See if you like this.

Very nice perspective, dof and detail. I think it is not too dark. It appears to accurately depict ambient conditions.
