A photo with a nice mood. And it is so typical China. A bowl of rice and a man taking a nap I used to live in China for 6 months and I really learned to like and love the Chinese people and their ways of living. One remark about the photo: the line coming out of the head is a bit distracting, but it was there, so what can you do...

Bravo!

Hi Eloi, I love the wide angle feel in this one, Also, the B&W fits very well with the feel of NYC. Great shot!Maybe I would've cropped this square, as I think it might make the Marilyn figure more prominent (minor thing, and a personal preference)

Cheers,

hugo

beautiful portrait of that sweet young girl with good lighting and serious expression.
May I ask you why you called your image "Dong's minority" ?

Eloi:
This is a good portrait, rich in color. Interesting colors and subject matter and the expression on this child's face all seem to work together well for you with the close cropping . . . nicely done and welcome to UF.

Size really does matter? I think this is a spendid shot, especially a 35mm "film" shot! I see the main focal piece of the shot as being the lightning bolt itself. And it's a very fine bolt indeed. I'm really not too concerned that it's Barcelona (since I wouldn't recognize it anyway!)higher skyscapers or more in the skyline would detract my attention from the lightning. I see the lightning as a showcase item and I think it's been captured splendidly! It appears to be perfectly framed (for my liking). I don't understand the image size as being a factor (?) Oh, and did I mention it's on FILM? Thanks for sharing such a technically difficult, yet beautiful shot!

Dramatic shot, though a shame it's a little small. It's such a wonderful lightning bolt, I'd like to see it really fill the screen!
