Tanzania - quite a bit far from my home town. I do like the shot overall, good pose. Lighting is a bit tough from directly overhead, but nothing anyone can do about that.
With the lion looking left, maybe some more open space to the left or the right? Maybe more "rule of thirds"? Hard to say.

Ah, the advantage of not knowing you're taking her picture...she looks so happy and relaxed. Wonderful composition and detail...love the light on her hair!

It is funny, I agree. But, at first I just thought it was a cute picture of my niece's toes taken for an assignemnt on body parts. Then, the more I looked at it the more it appeared like toes were growing from the sand. : )

A lovely capture of this lioness in the wilds and caught in a particularly pleasing pose as she keeps a wary eye on the whole of her surroundings. Well done to you Lana....I hope you have the opportunity to shoot even more animals in their natural habitat. All the best....Ray
