Interesting Idea, the shell is well exposed as with the rest of the shot. I think the shell takes up a little too much of this picture making it distracting, maybe would look a little better if the shell was completely in focus and thrown the flower slightly out, or even if you had more of the flower. Anyways thats just my opinion
