Love the colour of her hair its stunning and I also like the use of the diffuse glow.

A little too blown out for my taste, too much glow i think. Her palness is very striking against her red hair but i feel that the black background steals the attention too much. Try toning down the brightness and experoment with different backgrounds.

like the sepia effect for this type of photo,
reminds me of the old Indian photographs.
her pose is beautiful but to modern I would of liked to see her sitting Indian Style straight on.

Good portrait... I'd suggest you to add more hairlight to back part of her head, it looks blending to the background

Love her pose, the warmth of the jacket and her hair, but I feel that she needs some warm light on her face to get it to match the rest of the image. Her face seems so cold, and distant, but I think it's more of the temp. of light instead of her expression. Maybe an amber gel? Or reflected off a gold reflector? Just my 2cents.
You've got really nice texture in this image as well. (7)

Nice lighting, but the composition would be better if the face is not centered

Gorgeous ... the red really pops against all the green ...

Side note: I'm always tickled when I look at desks in these settings. There's always so much stuff on them, it's clear no one intends to use them for their original purpose.

Very Eye Catching Shot.
I like the background choice and the double exposure comes out brillianty.
There are some things I would like comment on
the top sneaker needs a tiny bit more light on the left hand side and if you could seperate these two by way of unseen glass or something there could be a little seperation of the two shoes.

I like it..Ilikeit a lot

Hmm I like the way her legs are posed. Very sensual. But she is looking in the camera and I think this takes away from her legs, and her overal pose. I like the choice for red. On my monitor her hair blends in with the shadow a bit. Overal a nice image, but I think a couple of things can be improved.

Regards,
Julien

I like the mood and the high contrast. To me, grain works here, but maybe slightly less grain would be even better. Finally, I find the color a bit too strong. I would desaturate this by about 30 points to 40 points in PS. Regards.

Great image...great concept...Great framing and use of real estate....but ott (over the top) on red...but still very sellable as is...good vision....Terry the angle works as it is and the list is in the perfect spot...look carefully at the whole frame....dont section it out...Great job...

I'm definitely a fan of your product work, very well laid out and so forth, on this one im compelled to suggest 2 things 1. warmer light, as its a holiday image 2. a lower angle, so the eye can move over the image more (possibly with the hand to the right in the frame, list prominently up front, etc)

I don't rate photos, but I'd certainly give this more than the 5 that currently shows. Good, strong, saleable commercial photo... nice work Greg.

I like this perspective. Also the footprints. I don't know if the toning works for this. Or, I suppose, coloring as it's a digital print.. I think that without the footprints, it would be more abstract as it would be more difficult to see what the subject actually was.

Any chance of going back after a snowfall and shooting it without the prints? I could see this in shades of blue, too, as the warm colors defy the cold of the snow -- but maybe that's what makes the image, hmmm. I'll need to think about this a little more.

Very good commercial shot... but the background is a bit distracting, maybe just change it to one that's not too "hard" and not "straight in line"

Like the use of real estate, like the lighting....don't like the central divide up the middle from the bottom and if this is a product shot; which it clearly appears to be than why is the label so blurry or non-distinct....end result the client is paying for his product to be shown in the best way possible and you've done an admirable job except that you made a cool visual but lost the client....label...label....label....you're so close on this....back to the drawing board and sell the product not your photography.....excellent attempt...and really good styling...push this to sell the product....

Nice shot Greg. I am sure the scan does no justice to the 4x5 transparency. I think many commercial shots I see just scream out 'perfection!' so my small nitpick here is the slightly out of kilter background. Do you think if the horizontals were parallel to the surface it would have lent some additional coherence? I am reluctant to critique this image too severely. I know that you make your living at this work. I like the picture a lot.

Cheers!
Jeff

hmmmm, have mixxed feelings as to whether the sky should be cropped or not, but it is worth a try to see the difference.
The steam and contrasty colors make the image for me, would like to have seen just a little more space ahead of the train.
Enjoy your work Greg, and I think it would be great if you had time for more input on others' work on usefilm

I love the way the lines move inside the frame, adds a 3d effect to the picture... the steam adds more drama, yet I feel the sky is distracting... wish if there was more clouds, you may crop a little from it... other wise it is a great capture..

Interesting use of the IR film, Greg. I was going to suggest the colours were odd until I noticed the film.

Good portrait; nice light in her eyes; good eye contact.
