hi Dan,

i find this photo a really interesting one.
first of there is nice streatching of the tree branches around the canvas, which show how they were carbonated. then, there is a hope rising up if we see a little further where the sunrays highlight the fresh branches. and then, the protector, the most interesting part of the image, your subject who reaches out as a protector, a strong one.

cheers,

very nice composition Krishnendu, and lovely tonality on the textures of the wall and alleys.
i only wished for a more interesting figure on the left, somehow that person seems to take the credits to this already photograph.

very interesting processing of this one Gabriella.
it looks as if she is about to be absorbed by the invading black.

very nice diagonal composition.
perhaps a wider aperture would do better for such photography.

this is beyond what i may be sure in explaining tenchincally! but, the picture itself has an enormous energy, which springs from the beautiful combination of the colours.

really great.

a really great composition Baha. all is visible and no need for elaboration.
there is a great balance here with the two semi-spheres on top corners. and, the black hole in the bottom is like the genisis.

hi Baha,

this is a very nice composition and depiction of this abstraction.

the emerald green seems to work greatly with the little dots of rusty red fractions, and most beautiful part of the image the drops of water asplat on the surface sphoradically.

i am curious about the iso rate (i assume 800 (?)) and aperture. for i am thinking whether the noise here and there could be avoided.

cheers,
v.

hi,

it would be propably useless to let you know that i am a big big fan of the band. a band that keeps me thrilled with its tunes ever since high school, and lost none of its fervency.

one thing though provokes me here. it is the distortion that you have given to the figure on the left, the mouth; this monumental logo of the album "the division bell", and the way you have named your work. which, no wonders, is spot on, but then- i could also say that you have depicted the most memorable philosopical song of PF (dark side of the moon) and illustrated with the cover of division bell!
of course, there is correlation between the title and illustration, like there is in most of the works by PF which are pretty much on the same line.
however, this work seems to me bold. i wonder what members of PF would say if they saw it. :)

cheers,
v.

i find this image technically achieved.
the PoV is working very fine, for it helped you create a very nice composition.
also, there is very rich gradients.

hi txules,

i just had a look at the both images. and they both are stories on their own, i would say.

the colour one is lovely in tonality and has an unearthly atmosphere. whereas, the BW version is somewhat grimmer and dull- almost depressive. but, what both versions have have in common (except for the objective scenery, or how should i say) they are rich in gradient transition!~

this one, reminds me of A. Adams works. :)

this is actually an auto-portrait that i did on a train going to Bologna, and it is one of the many editing i did to it. the following link takes you to another version which i posted some time ago: http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1477688

thanks a lot, and many regards,

Pablo, you never seize to amaze me with your simple simply powerful shots. and this, is no exception, for you have captured the heart/ the very essence of ballet- that what makes it different from the other 'fashions of life'~

hi again Kaveh, and thanks for the reply~

just to let you know, i am also a member of that community- which is desperetly hard to have a photo qualified for screening, i tried two times and both of them rejected- one because it had some writing on it (of my pseudonim) and second just because!! :( however, i do enjoy surfing through the marvelous work of many artists there. i guess it is much better a site than UF- here is a loooot of junk, i mean REAL junk- whereas there, it is a bit more qualified-

by the way, how can i get in touch with your work there?!

cheers and have a nice day,

what i particularily find interesting and significant for this image is the fact that we see where the ladder begins but not the end of it!!~ i find symbolism in that, as well as the distorted fashion of it.

nice idea, and realised well.
