A true work of art. I wish I could see it in person to appreciate all of the subtle detail.

Hi Shirley,

Thank you for your comments. Your opinion is held in high regard. Its a famous church, photographed by Adams, Strand, and almost anyone who has been to Taos. I like my version. Best wishes, Gary

Dhimant,

Thank you for your comment. Taken before 9/11 while tripods were still allowed, I would not have been able to cover the field from a low angle with a 450mm lens. I only had about 10 minutes to set up and get shot. Put person in far field to get perspective. Printed the 8x10 negative in platinum. Was able to take one exposure. Best wishes, Gary

Dhimant,

It is a 90 second timelapse with an 8x10 camera and 250 wide field ektar lens. Uncoated so much flare. No photoshop. Thanks for your comment. You do very nice work. Best wishes, Gary

Ivona....
I love photography and printmaking. I have found that you do not have to make LOTS of images in one year. Four or five very good ones a year becomes forty or fifty in ten years. I have been doing this large format work for 20 years. Bisous....Gary

Hello Ivona...
Thank you for your comment. Taken with an 8x10 camera as a night shot. Black sky and white building. But used the negative to make a photopolymer plate and into gravure. White sky and black building. Some plate ink in sky. Made with love ..... In Musee Jenisch...www.museejenisch.ch

Thank you Ivona,

It is impossible to get a tripod into these memorial buildings in Washington, but I was able to in 1999, pre 2001, with my tripod late in the day to take this time exposure image with school children in the foreground. Best wishes....new president in the USA on tuesday, tomorrow, January 20th 2009!
