Harry,
I think what you wanted to see was this slightly cropped image. Not sure if cutting out the frame of the filmholder makes it better, or just a wash.
Best .... Gary

I'm sorry, Gary, I do understand thought despite the original shot, posting on the web you might have used the PS to eliminate. Now I know what the original is... Any way I do truly like the balance of light-texture especially on the man's site! Harry

Hi Harry,
I work with 8x10 and 11x14, hand coat papers and don't crop the image. Missed that small intrusion on the left.but needed to keep the statue on the wall behind them intact...it would have taken too long to move the camera and refocus. Time with him was very limited. If used as a jpeg...could be cropped. All my platinums are uncropped nad show the filmholder marks. Cropping is something I am supposed to do on the groundglass. Thanks for your comment...

Gary, this is excellent work, my suggestions (1) the frame doesn't go well with it (2) left can be cropped at list 1/4” All the best! Harry

Txules,
You mentioned the verticals. When I am shooting with the 8x10, and tilting up to get the top of the building, keeping front and back standard vertical and not tilted...and also including the street lights but not the cars...I use the line on the wall on the right to keep perfectly vertical....it takes probably 15-20 minutes to get it right because it was so dark out. Could not really see the dome, but with one hour exposure....nice and bright. Thanks for your comments.

I know you are coming from the old school and do not crop your images as HCB, Capa... and that's good, it means you take your time for composition, I still must learn many things :) take care....txules
