this is absolutely got to be one of the most beautiful catholic churches i've ever seen. it's almost, like going back in time. for some reason it looks really familiar to me. i can just see the high mass weddings, baptismals, and the children making thier first holy communion.there's a peaceful feel about this picture.some-day maybe i can see this again in reality.gooooood pic.,keep up the good work,some-day i'll be at your showing!!M.J.L.B.RAY

wonderful. i agree with the comments posted. there is something strangely alluring about this photo; the flower seems to be pulsating_as though a beacon for such insects.(?)_WOT.

great photograph and excellent photoshop work. (+i would like to see it bigger too). best regards. Tomas.x

Hi Ellen,
I don't know the name of the Poppy...only that it is in my Grandmother's garden where we placed a sprout from my great grandma's garden several years back. Thanks for your comments!

And a very nice effect achieved!

I find this image to be strangely satisfying... it seems to at once be both flat and contrasty... really, quite amazing.

Thank you Cary, I don't have many more yet. I'm attempting to raise orchids, which seems to be even harder than photographing them! ;-) I'm post more as soon as I can!

This would be a great picture if the twigs weren't in the forground. Is there any way of getting around them? THe evergreen trees would be a great frame!

don't worry about the missing tail, it takes hundreds of shots to get some perfect butterflies - except if they are dead ;-(
you did a good shot! try to close aperture as much as possible next time to get more depth of field, and ... be generous with film i.e. take a couple of shots with various exposures if you want perfect shots
i like this one
best regards
Roland
