Hello Sara, thanks for the kind words. I don't have your passion for flowers, I wish I did. Lately I've not been able to get out and do the kind of photography I like to do. Flowers are close by so I've they have become my subject for the time being. Don't get me wrong, I like to photograph them but they aren't where my hearts at. Take care, Mike.

Thanks Jose, I'm glad I have your vote of confidence because I know your always honest. I'm pretty much stuck using ISO 100 with the Merrill so wind is a big problem with that camera in low light. It's decently sharp like you said. Take care Jose and have a great day! Be well, Mike.

Thanks Bruce, I had to try it. I used the Canon 250D close up lens on my DP3 Merrill which allowed me to get much closer than I normally could. Take care, Mike.

Thank Ayan, this time I added a close up lens to the DP3 Merrill and it worked surprisingly well. It's good enough to keep using that's for sure. Take care, Mike.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Russ for several years now and have seen a lot of his work. He is among the "Best" photographers in the world, yes he is that good. Look through his entire portfolio, starting back in the 1970's and I think you'll agree. Congrats on this well deserved award Russ! Be well, Mike.

Thanks Jose, some Flickr group wants me to add it to their black and white collection. As for the square idea, I've already cropped it quite a bit and would lose the ability to print it at a decent size with any more. I also took a much closer shot as well, just didn't get around to posting it. I always cover my bases when I shoot anything, just to be safe. Be well, Mike

That sounds about right Jose, though I believe they actually use cow urine on the local crops. It has a very distinctive odor and strong odor. Be well, Mike.

Thanks Jose, I try and do things a bit different if possible. Flowers have been done to death, so it's really impossible to do anything new. I'm glad you can appreciate the closed ones like I do. I had a heck of a time with the wind, it was awful. I had to shoot at wide apertures and take a lot of photos, most were too blurry. If I could get a windless day I think I could get at least 50 photos, all different. That's the breaks though, I have to shoot at ISO 100 with the Merrill unfortunately.
