I love the hues in this one, Ed...deep, rich and perfect for the subject matter. I also like the elements you've chosen; again perfect for the theme, but I think they tend to compete with each other. My eye doesn't know where to rest, or what should be prominent.

Thinking out loud here: your portrait should dominate, and it does, to some extent. Maybe if you either removed the cathedral doors...or pushed them further back into the background? Hmmm...I like the way the eye is led from the dark doors, up through the angel and on to your face and eyes. I think what's throwing me is the overlapping areas and elements mid-image...the top of the door image and upward and the bottom of the corridor image.

Not sure any of this helps...but I do like what you were attempting to do.

Very beautifully done, Ed...excellent composition, glorious golden hues. Makes you want to stay and soak it up awhile. The progressive open-ended hallway is like a pathway to paradise. Beautiful.

I like the strong contrasts in this one, Ed. Very dramatic. The cross bottom almost looks like a priest's mantle.

jude said it: the replication of the hands is exceptional, and the wave texture connects the two. Fantastic! Ina

An excellent addition to your series, Ed. I love the replication of the hands.

BTW, looks like we both posted images today with an "atlantis" theme....hehe, what are the odds?

Thanks Jude, I have decided to rename this piece of work "Passion". I don't often do this but, it seems the right thing to do. Again, thanks for keeping up with my work :-) Ed

Wonderful, Ed...shades of Barabas, and the Roman soldier, Pontius Pilot and Golgatha all come to mind. Very evocative image. Well done.

Hi Ed, Thanks for visiting, I am glad I've discovered your portfolio. I love your photos and PS work, very creative. This one in particular has caught my attention, it reminded me of a picture I took with a message written by a child on a piece of rusted metal in Romania. Different time, place & message. Excellent composition! Ina
