What a great result and thanks for sharing all the technical details. This is super as black and white, so moody, You captured a nice range of tones and the perspective is inviting. The lights are glowing all the way to the end of the bridge. You were in the right place at the right time with the right camera and film -- wouldn't have turned out better if you planned all day. I would probably make your signature smaller so it wouldn't take away from the photo, or eliminate it all together.

This is a great photograph that really transports me to another place.
You've used infrared film very well, and not allowed it to overpower the composition. One of the best infra red shots I've seen yet.

As a thumnail it looked like an abomb fungus cloud, i like the look that the tree is going to take over the road.

Thanks for the nice comments
Regarding focussing: It depends what kind of filter you use. If the filter lets visible and IR-light pass (red to deep red) I wouldn't correct the focussing. Only when I shoot through completely "black" filters (lowest transmission ~> 780nm) I use the IR-correction mark of my lenses: Focus without filter in place, attach the filter and move the current focus to the red mark. I'm not quite sure concerning autofocus (I don't own any AF camera) but I remember it should work. Maybe you check the "mother" of IR-photography sites at http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/mainpage.htm.
Hope this helps and best regards,
Oliver

Great use of IR film. Glad to see someone using the darker red filter.

Stunning IR photograph!
I'm thinking about picking this up too. Very inspiring picture!

Tell me, how should one focus? I heared IR light diffracts differently in the lenses than visible light and one should correct for it. Is that true? I suppose the autofocus of the camera doesn't work in IR? (I have a Canon EOS D30)
