It is a finely balanced exposure to let us see details in the surfboard. The backlight on the drops is what grabs my eyes the most though. The only unfortunate thing about this as I see it are the overlapping arms - a little separation would have helped the silhouette IMHO.

i like the the way the curtain of spray is illuminated....just a thought- but would like to see how it would look with more detail revealed in the foreground...something to play with in PS...nice image

I just took a quick browse of your portfolio... and I wanted to say that you better be making some money on these shots... I think they are amazing. There has to be some magazines that you can present these to!

Excellent shot! Was the background modified in post? However it was achieved it really makes your dog (flat coated retriever?) stand out. I would be interested in knowing how it was done, though, as I've just started taking dog shots and usually have some distracting backgrounds.
A bit stronger catchlights in the eyes would give it an extra pop of life, but even as is, I feel I can sense some character in there.
Can't wait to see more!
